Oxidative stress as a key mechanism of aging: pathophysiological mechanisms and SMART diagnostics

In the review article, the pathogenetic concept of oxidative stress as one of the key mechanisms of cellular and systemic aging is considered on the basis of modern scientific data and the results of our own research and clinical observations, without timely diagnostics and pathogenetic correction of which it is impossible to effectively manage age-associated diseases. For a wide clinical practice, the authors offer simple and objective methods of SMART-diagnostics of various manifestations of oxidative stress, which allow to estimate the presence and severity of oxidative stress quickly and accurately and without time, and to compile an individual comprehensive plan of treatment and prophylactic measures for their effective and pathogenetic correction For each patient.
