On the issue of improving diet therapy for elderly and disabled individuals in social service institutions

The article discusses the normative-legal and methodological issues of providing nutrition in social service institutions for elderly and disabled individuals. Dietetic (therapeutic and preventive) nutrition in the social protection system is organized in accordance with the official normative-legal acts, methodological guidelines and information newsletters that determine the basic principles of nutrition for individuals who live in organized collectives of stationary social service institutions for a long time. The article presents the requirements that are obligatory for organization of nutrition in social service institutions for elderly and disabled individuals.
