New possibilities of predicting hypertensive complications in pregnant women after IVF with a donated oocyte

The objective. To study allele polymorphisms of the HLA class II genes (DQA1, DQB1, DRB1) in allogenic pregnancy.
Materials and methods. The group of study included 45 women and their children born within the oocyte donation and «Surrogate motherhood» programmes. HLA typing was performed in samples of maternal blood and umbilical blood after birth.
Results. As a result of the work, we have found a number of alleles with protective action (DQA1*0102, DQB1*0302, DRB1*13 и др.), the presence of which in the genotype significantly reduces the probability of developing hypertensive complications of pregnancy (gestational arterial hypertension, premature abruption of the normally located placenta, preeclampsia) (p < 0.01). Also, stratification of risks for development of complications depending on the number of protective alleles, totally presented in genotypes of the surrogate mother and the child was performed.
Conclusion. The results we have obtained show that further research in this field has good prospects, so further clinical, immunological and pathomorphological studies are expedient in order to enhance the effectiveness of pregravid preparation, reduce the incidence of complications of pregnancy and to improve perinatal outcomes.
