Clinical-morphological specificities and pathogenesis of pregnancy complications in surrogate motherhood and oocyte donation

The review analyses and presents comparative data about the phenomenon of immunological tolerance in the «mother-foetus» system in pregnancy with the semiallogeneic and allogeneic foetus in egg donation and surrogate motherhood. Special attention is paid to the problem of a probable increase of the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnancy achieved via oocyte donation or under the «surrogate motherhood» programme due to abnormal response of the maternal immune system to an allogeneic foetus.

Key words: allogeneic foetus, oocyte donation, surrogate motherhood, perinatal outcomes, preeclampsia.
