The state of reception of female sex hormones and the efficacy of in-vitro fertilization
The examination involved 50 patients using the standard long IVF protocol. Before the treatment began, in 28 patients with occurring clinical pregnancy the medial value of the progesterone receptor level was 1228 fmoll/mln cells, and in 22 nonpregnant patients – 534.5 fmoll/mln cells (p = 0.043). The PR/ER ration averaged 1.1 in pregnant and 0.27 – in nonpregnant patients (p = 0.038). No relation between estradiol and progesterone concentrations in blood, on the one hand, and their receptor levels, on the other, and also the result of therapy was revealed. Therefore, the IVF result might be predicted by the initial receptor status of MNCF of the patients’ peripheral blood. Hormonal correction of deviations might improve the results of therapy.
