The epidemiology of sporadic ovarian cancer and risk factors

The review presents current approaches to such controversial risk factors as specificities of dietary habits, the role of the body weight, contraception, childbirth and the age of the beginning of sexual life. The authors discuss the model of food and sexual behavior that has changed since the Stone Age, the number of menstruations and ovulations for the whole reproductive period are also considered. The works studying the impact of smoking and alcohol intake on the risk of development of ovarian cancer are analyzed.
