Complex therapy of a pathological transformation of the endometrium
The authors studied the efficacy of the drug Longidaza in a complex therapy of patients with chronic endometritis and/or intrauterine synechias. Eighty women aged from 25 to 45 years were examined. They underwent diagnostic hysteroscopy and, if required, resectoscopy and diagnostic curettage with a hystologic examination of the endometrial scrape. All patients were divided into 2 groups by «random sampling». Group 1 (basic) comprised 50 patients, group 2 (control) – 30 women. The group 1 patients received a complex therapy with Longidaza 3000 IU in 2 ml of 2% lidocaine solution intramuscularly beginning with the 2nd day after surgery and further with a 4-day interval, 10 injections in all. The group 2 patients received only the basic therapy during the post-operative period. The study revealed a higher therapeutic effect of a combined use of Longidaza and standard antimicrobial therapy (antibacterial drugs, metronidazole, non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs) as compared to isolated antibacterial therapy. The patients’ complaints disappeared faster, and clinical manifestations of inflammatory diseases of the small pelvis organs were arrested.
