The personified approach to complex rehabilitation of the combined deformation of feet at twins with cerebral palsy with use of insoles with 3D-computer modeling
We report a case of successful treatment and rehabilitation of twins with cerebral palsy and foot deformity. We demonstrated the need for a multidisciplinary approach to rehabilitation of such patients in order to ensure the development of individual
complex of therapeutic and preventive measures aimed at the treatment of the main disease and its consequences. The most common orthopedic disorder in children with cerebral palsy is equinoplanovalgus foot deformity. Timely use of CAD/CAM orthotics (customized 3D-printed insoles) in combination with a complex of therapeutic and rehabilitation measures (including special physical exercises, Vojta reflective gymnastics, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), corrective gymnastics, therapeutic swimming, physiotherapy, therapeutic massage, etc.) optimizes the treatment, ensures effective restoration of functions, and prevents complications. Our clinical experience clearly demonstrates the need for timely diagnosis, treatment, and constant dynamic follow-up of children with cerebral palsy using the methods aimed at both correction of existing
deformities and prevention of their progression.
