The procedure of rewiewing manuscripts established by the editorial board
All manuscripts submitted to the editorial office of the journal are subject to successive anonymous double-blinded peer review by qualified experts in the relevant field.
The reviewers are members of the editorial board and independent specialists – experts in a particular field of medicine.
The received manuscript is registered by the editorial office and sent for review to 2 experts. The review might take up to 2 months from the time of receiving the manuscript. In case of having 2 positive reviews the article is referred to the editorial board of the journal and in case of their positive review is accepted for publication. The authors are informed about all stages of the process and receive copies of the reviews. Reviews and motivated rejections are sent to authors and kept in the archives of the Publishing House for 5 years.
Еditorial Board sends the copy of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation at receipt of the corresponding inquiry.
If the article receives one negative review, it is returned to the author(s) for further elaboration. In disputable cases, the article is sent for additional review of the 3rd expert. The authors will receive reviews of their manuscripts for revision and improvement in accordance with comments and recommendations of the reviewers. After the article is elaborated, it undergoes repeat reviewing and in case of positive assessment it is submitted for consideration of the editorial board of the journal.
In case of a repeat negative review the author will be reasonably informed that the manuscript is rejected.
